In this report, we are going to talk about the educational system in India, especially in the college level,
First of all here are the statistics,
Number of Students Passing out of +2 every year – 3.3 million
Number of Students Passing out of Engineering every year – 1.5 million

 

These two statistics state that more than 50% of the population of the youth are Enrolled into Engineering in which 20%-30% of the pass outs risk not getting a job at all, But this does not end here, Among the rest only a very few tend to get a decent salary, but for the rest of the students the salary is pathetically low despite the price inflations in the past years which causes an even more burden on them.

 

My question is why do so many opt for engineering and lose their future? And the answer to my question was quite simple, Fact is not all of them have the aptitude for engineering but still they go for it thinking they will get a good job and settle in life. Also they lack the basic knowledge about the other fields of education. Based on all the facts gathered here this is what I propose as a Solution:

 

According to a leading Scientist called Howard Gardner there are 9 types of Intelligence present in Humans they are:

1. Naturalist Intelligence (“Nature Smart”)
Designates the human ability to discriminate among living things (plants, animals) as well as sensitivity to other features of the natural world (clouds, rock configurations).

2. Musical Intelligence (“Musical Smart”)
Musical intelligence is the capacity to discern pitch, rhythm, timbre, and tone.

3. Logical-Mathematical Intelligence (Number/Reasoning Smart)
Logical-mathematical intelligence is the ability to calculate, quantify, consider propositions and hypotheses, and carry out complete mathematical operations.

4. Existential Intelligence
Sensitivity and capacity to tackle deep questions about human existence, such as the meaning of life, why do we die, and how did we get here

5. Interpersonal Intelligence (“People Smart”)
Interpersonal intelligence is the ability to understand and interact effectively with others.

6. Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence (“Body Smart”)
Bodily kinesthetic intelligence is the capacity to manipulate objects and use a variety of physical skills.

7. Linguistic Intelligence (“Word Smart)
Linguistic intelligence is the ability to think in words and to use language to express and appreciate complex meanings.

8. Intra-personal Intelligence (“Self Smart”)
Intra-personal intelligence is the capacity to understand oneself and one’s thoughts and feelings, and to use such knowledge in planning and directioning one’s life.

9. Spatial Intelligence (“Picture Smart”)
Spatial intelligence is the ability to think in three dimensions.

 

Among these we may be good at one or more than one of them.

 

If our education system ought to be in a way that it guides students of all 9 types of intelligence by segregating them based on their strengths and helping them achieve maximum capacity, there will be no lack of talent or skill between them and the chances of unemployment will be reduced drastically.
